With a 2014 holiday gift to assist the outreach programming at The First Tee of Greater Dallas, The Jordan Spieth Family Foundation is proud to support the initiatives and growth of The First Tee chapter in Jordan’s backyard. The Foundation is excited to be a part of this mission, to serve young people while growing the game of golf.
The Jordan Spieth Family Foundation was founded in part to support community groups that are growing junior golf and making the game available to youth across the socioeconomic spectrum. The First Tee provides young people with character building and life skill lessons using golf as a national platform. Through The First Tee, young people discover how skills essential to success on a golf course can also help them flourish in life. The programming that The First Tee of Greater Dallas provides is imperative to raising responsible young citizens, and The Jordan Spieth Family foundation is proud to invest in the future and skill-development of these great kids. Jordan experienced the great work of this chapter first hand when three participants from The First Tee Greater Dallas participated in the inaugural Spieth Shootout charity golf event in the Fall of 2014. All showed incredible skills on the course, with one winning the longest drive competition; most impressive, though, were the manners, maturity, self-confidence and integrity they exuded.
